Volunteer Project Recap – Pella Windows & Doors Making a Difference

Hey there, neighbors! We’re thrilled to share the success of our volunteer project from 2023, where Pella Windows and Doors of Omaha & Lincoln made a meaningful impact in our community.

Last August, Pella donated 17 of its premium windows along with three doors for a great cause: enhancing the home of a beloved member of our neighborhood.

In partnership with the Sacred Heart Church community, we dedicated August 5th and 6th to giving back to Ella Willis, someone who has always been there for others. Her dedication to helping her community and church has not gone unnoticed, and as part of the community, it was our turn to be there for her.

Here’s What We Accomplished

We came together to support Ella and show the community some love. Together, we made a real difference.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of any neighborhood project, and the kind folks who participated last August helped make all the difference. No special skills or talents were required—just a willingness to contribute and a smile to share. Whether you spared an hour or two, every bit helped.

Over the course of two days, we finished the following actions.

• Scraping and Priming: We scraped, primed, and prepped Ella’s house for a total makeover. This phase ensured smooth surfaces for a durable finish.
• Window and Door Replacement: With the help of Pella employee and expert Pella Installer volunteers, we installed 17 windows and three doors, refreshing the home’s appearance and enhancing security. (Expert Install Teams: Construct Visions, Ruhlman Eilers Construction, JCC Jurgens, T&A Construction, Watson Works)
• Painting: We had volunteers from our custom pre-finish department that worked wonders and transformed Ella’s home with a fresh coat of paint, giving it a welcoming new look.
• Yard Cleanup: Our employee volunteers tidied up the yard, cleared the debris, trimmed the hedges, and left a pleasant outdoor space for Ella to enjoy.
