Custom Front and Patio Door Replacement Transforms Lincoln Home

Project Story

This Lincoln homeowner worked with Pella Omaha & Lincoln replacement sales representative Rachel Reese to update three of the most-used entrances in their home: the front entry, the garage-to-house door and the sliding patio door. Rather than treating each replacement as a standalone project, the details were selected and custom finished to complement the home’s existing character. The front entry features a Craftsman-style door with a sidelight, paired with a white Pella Fullview Rolscreen storm door with Low-E glass and satin nickel hardware. Custom-stained interior trim helped tie the new entry back into the warm woodwork already found throughout the home.

At the back of the home, a Pella Lifestyle Series sliding patio door replaced the existing patio entrance. The new door features a Poplar White exterior, Low-E insulating glass with argon, an InView™ sliding screen and between-the-glass blinds, giving the homeowners privacy and light control without sacrificing their view of the backyard. The interior was custom finished to coordinate with the home’s existing wood tones, including reuse of the existing interior casing where possible. The project was rounded out with a new six-panel, smooth fiberglass, 20-minute fire-rated door between the garage and home, finished in Pella White. Together, the three replacements bring updated performance and functionality to the home while still feeling like they belong there.
