United Way Back-to-School Backpack Initiative

Employees Volunteer Time, Talent, and Resources to Help Local Students Start the School Year Ready to Learn

Pella Windows & Doors of Omaha & Lincoln is launching its new Pella Cares community initiative by partnering with United Way of the Midlands to support local students. Through the Shine Bright Volunteer Day, Pella employees helped assemble hygiene kits and provide essential supplies, reinforcing the company’s commitment to stronger communities across Nebraska and western Iowa.

Ella Willis Home Transformation

Restoring a Home. Honoring a Legacy.

Pella partnered with Sacred Heart Church to completely transform the home of longtime community volunteer Ella Willis. Employees donated their time alongside product donations that included 17 windows and three doors, while volunteers painted, landscaped, and completed exterior improvements to revitalize the property. The project became a reflection of what happens when businesses and communities work together to support those who have spent their lives serving others.

Supporting Those Who Protect Our Communities

Support through a community improvement project.

A local firefighter and their family received support through a community improvement project involving Pella employees and installation teams. More than improving a home, the effort demonstrated appreciation for the individuals who dedicate themselves to protecting our communities every day.

Builders of the Future

Strong communities begin with opportunity.

Pella partnered with Open Door Mission, Omaha Public Schools, and Blair Freeman to support the Builders of the Future initiative, helping students gain hands-on construction experience while investing in neighborhood revitalization. Through workforce development and skilled trades education, students develop valuable career skills while improving their communities.

Supporting affordable housing construction.

For years, Pella has partnered with Metropolitan Community College's Capstone House program, donating windows and doors while supporting affordable housing construction in North Omaha.
The partnership provides students with real-world construction experience while helping create homes for local families, demonstrating how education and community investment can work hand in hand.

Pella proudly supports Habitat for Humanity through product donations for projects like Baldwin Court Townhomes, helping increase access to affordable housing for families in our region. Every completed home represents another opportunity for stability, security, and a stronger future.

Pella continues to support the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Construction Management Program through classroom instruction, window installation education, industry mentorship, and scholarship support for future architects and construction professionals.
