Pella® Windows & Doors of Omaha & Lincoln Makes It Better

As America’s ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year for windows the past two consecutive years, Pella is an industry leader in providing energy-efficient products that help make homes and businesses cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.

The U.S. 2009-2010 Energy Tax Credit

Beginning January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2010, you can replace your home’s old windows and doors with select Pella® windows and doors that may qualify for a tax credit up to $1,500 on your 2009 or 2010 federal income tax return.1

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 extends federal tax credits for eligible building components. The new law includes specific requirements including a U-Factor equal to or below 0.30 and a Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) equal to or below 0.30 in all climate zones in the U.S. The approved bill includes the ability for homeowners to gain a tax credit of 30 percent of the cost of qualifying energy-efficient upgrades to a maximum of $1,500 per household for 2009 and 2010.2

To qualify for the tax credit1

Purchase a qualifying Pella window or door that meets the new standards: U-Factor and SHGC of 0.30 or below.

Retain your NFRC label from each product along with sales receipt for tax credit verification and preparation. The NFRC label shows that the energy efficiency of the window or door meets or exceeds tax credit eligibility requirements.

Click Here to download and print the Pella Manufacturer’s Certification Statement for your records. This statement verifies your Pella windows and doors may be eligible for the tax credit.

The qualified Pella products must be installed in the taxpayer-owned principal residence after January 1, 2009 and before December 31, 2010.

NOTE: The credit only applies on the price of the qualified windows and doors themselves and excludes installation costs, onsite preparation, assembly or sales tax. Since qualifying Pella wood clad products offer factory-prefinishing, the cost of this feature is eligible for the credit.

Leverage the value of ENERGY STAR qualified, energy-efficient products

We encourage you to contact your local Pella sales representative to explore Pella’s broad range of ENERGY STAR qualified, energy-efficient windows and doors in wood clad, fiberglass and vinyl. Despite the fact that the recently modified stimulus plan does not cover all Pella ENERGY STAR qualified products, it is important to note that all of our products with InsulShield® Low-E insulating glass can significantly cut the cost of your home operation by lowering your utility bills and adding to the overall comfort of your home.
